Back to school at level 2
Kia ora koutou e te whanau,
School will be open to all students on Thursday. I know the students will be super excited to see their teachers and to reconnect with their friends.
Attached is a pānui that describes the conditions that level 2 imposes on us all.
In short, 2 metre distance outside, 1m distance inside where possible. Maximum of 50 people indoors which means we are not able to have any assemblies. In schools, mask-wearing is completely voluntary. Students are able to wear them but it is not compulsory. As always we teach the students to wash or sanitise their hands when moving from one activity to another. We also encourage students to bring their own water bottle to cut down on any unnecessary contact.
At level 2 we cannot have any parents or caregivers enter the school site. Please drop students at the gate by the crossing where staff will be gathered to support students into their classrooms. If you need to have any questions answered please ring the office 03 7897172 If there is something that requires more attention and you need to see one of us in person, please come to the main office, scan in and wear a mask.
Finally, you've all been super parents/teachers over the last 3 weeks. We have the utmost respect for you all. We all know how difficult it is to juggle running a household, looking after your whānau, working from home and then having to supervise/facilitate home learning. Tino pai tou mahi koutou katoa - great work everyone. The Ka Ora, Ka Ako | healthy school lunches programme restarts Thursday and buses will be running as normal
We look forward to seeing all our students back at school Thursday .
Kia haumaru te noho - be safe.
Ngā mihi nui,
